Bio
Nikki is an ecologist and has been working in the environmental field since 2020. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a specialization in physical ecological systems from the University of Guelph. She also has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Environment, Resources, and Sustainability from the University of Waterloo with a minor in Parks and Protected Areas and specializations in Environmental Impact Assessment and Ecological Restoration. She is currently a Candidate for a Master of Environmental Studies at the University of Waterloo; her research involves investigating the state of terrestrial buffers within the context of development in Southern Ontario.

Nikki has experience completing bat exit surveys for trees, buildings, and bat boxes, she has also spent a season developing SAR bat monitoring protocols and coordinating bat exit surveys and guano collection. Nikki also has assisted with field survey protocols, including Ecological Land Classification (ELC), tree inventories, and Vegetative Sampling Protocol (VSP). She has experience with electrofishing, benthic surveys, flora and fauna identification.
